Delete Inventory Item
Inventory Items can be permanently deleted from Maintenance Connection. Deleting inventory items also deletes all existing inventory associated with the item.
An inventory item marked as a Rotating Part should not be deleted from Maintenance Connection. In fact, the system will not allow you to delete an inventory item marked as rotating if it has any associated assets. These items should be made inactive on the Inventory Items Details tab.
To delete an inventory item that has been marked as rotating, you must first delete all rotating assets associated with it. This can be done by removing the Rotating Item flag on the Inventory Item Details page.
The process for deleting records is similar for all modules of Maintenance Connection. Deleting a record permanently removes the record from Maintenance Connection. You can also delete multiple records in a single step. Refer to our Delete Records article to learn how.
